Abuja, NIGERIA – The Federal Ministry of Education has formally inaugurated Chairmen and Members of Governing Boards for key federal agencies. The ceremony, led by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, on Wednesday, also included the inauguration of Principal Officers for the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship, Bama, and the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic N’Yak, Shendam.
During the event, Dr. Alausa reaffirmed the reappointment of Chief Executive Officers across various parastatals, describing the moment as a reflection of the government’s commitment to deepening reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Okay News reports that the Minister expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary support, noting that these appointments are central to the NESRI 6-point agenda aimed at transforming Nigeria’s education landscape.
The Minister charged the newly appointed and reappointed leaders to prioritize integrity, accountability, and collaboration, stressing that the goal is to provide safe and equitable learning environments for every Nigerian child. This administrative push for “Absolute Clarity” in leadership follows Dr. Alausa’s earlier announcement this week barring honorary degree holders from using the “Dr” title, a move intended to restore the dignity of academic merits.
