Hollywood Actress Charlotte Rae Dies Aged 92

Hollywood icon Charlotte Rae has died at the age of 92, after an amazing career in the movie industry which spanned for at least 50 decades.

Her son Larry Strauss said the actress died peacefully in her Los Angeles home, on Sunday afternoon.

Although the cause of her death has not been revealed, she was surrounded by close relatives at the time she passed on.

Charlotte Rae Lubotsky was born in Milwaukee, in 1926.

With a great passion for acting, she started her career in the 60’s and got her first academy awards in 1957 TV drama, “Queen of the Stardust Ballroom”, IMDb reported.

She was also known as the voice in the 1992 “Tom and Jerry” movie.

Rae starred in “Car 54, Where Are You?”, “Diff’rent Strokes”, “The Facts of Life”, “The Vagina Monologues” among other movies.
