Wizkid has revealed how American rapper, Drake was the one who proposed the remix to his much talked about track of the year, ‘Ojuelegba’.

The remix which features Drake and UK-based rapper Skepta has been lauded as the best collaborative work of the year by many across the African continent and beyond.

The Starboy who spoke to Ghana’s Drive time host, on their newly launched Empire FM, detailed how Drake, contacted him via Instagram, and asked that they meet up in London where they recorded the remix version of the song.

He said he was amazed by the level of commitment Drake showed towards the project.

‘I was there and saw that Drake followed me on Instagram so I DMed him and I was like ‘Yoh, I’m a big fan of your music and he was like I like your music as well’.So we started talking and we talked about hooking up in London, so I went to London the next day and when I got there, I saw that he had already done his verse to the song, it was just funny mehn!…’

In a recent interview with FADER magazine, Drake expressed how honoured he was to have jumped on Wizkid’s single.
