‘I’m 100% Single’ – Falz Addresses Relationship Rumors, Marriage Fears

By Damilola A.

Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, the Nigerian rapper and actor, has shared his concerns about marriage and his uncertainty regarding an ideal marital life as a celebrity.

In a recent episode of the “Unpack” podcast, the 33-year-old artist discussed the complexities of relationships and the challenges he faces in envisioning a future married life.

Falz, who confirmed his single status, addressed rumors about his personal life and expressed his contemplation on whether to keep his future marital life private or public.

“I am not married. I am 100% single. I do not know where you hear that rumour from, but it is wrong. Those people are peddling false information. I have been single for a while. Maybe I should just try it. I do not know the ideal relationship. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I have not bothered to try. When I say I am bothered, I do not know what the ideal set-up would look like,” he said.

Reflecting on the challenges of being in the public eye, Falz highlighted the difficulties entertainers face in maintaining healthy relationships and family life.

“Being an artiste, being in the public eye. Is it going to be public? Is it going to be like a coded p, or do you want to come out as a famous couple? I think these things are difficult to navigate. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why entertainers do not get to have healthy relationships like family life. It is tough. It will always come out one way or the other. I might do it and run it coded.”

In previous statements, Falz revealed that he has not been in a romantic relationship since 2008, attributing his single status to a sense of unreadiness.
