TEHRAN, Iran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard on Saturday, May 9, 2026, threatened to strike United States sites in the region and enemy ships if its tankers come under fire.
Okay News reports that Iranian media published the warning.
“Any attack on Iranian tankers and commercial vessels will result in a heavy attack on one of the American centres in the region and enemy ships,” the organization said.
The statement was released one day after the United States conducted attacks against two Iranian tankers in the Gulf of Oman.
