Nigerian Bar Association Demands Urgent Rescue of Missing NYSC Lawyer, Eunice Ameh

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has issued an urgent appeal to security agencies following the sudden disappearance of Eunice Ameh, a young lawyer currently undertaking her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

Okay News reports that the NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, released a strongly worded statement on Saturday, describing the situation as a personal blow to the entire legal community. Osigwe emphasized that the disappearance of any young Nigerian answering the call to national service demands an immediate and determined response from state authorities.

In his address, the NBA President directly called upon the Inspector General of Police to immediately deploy all necessary tactical and intelligence resources to ensure Ameh’s safe return. He stressed that the current situation requires swift action rather than routine assurances, warning that every passing hour is critical to her safety.

Expressing solidarity with the missing lawyer’s distraught family and friends, the Nigerian Bar Association has also appealed to the general public. Authorities are urging anyone with useful information regarding her whereabouts to step forward and cooperate with law enforcement to help bring her home safely.
