Kano Actor Musa Mai Sana’a Reportedly Beaten to Pulp Over Support for Tinubu

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

KANO, Nigeria – Kannywood actor Musa Mai Sana’a was reportedly assaulted by angry youths in Sharada, allegedly due to his public support for the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Okay News understands. The attack was confirmed by industry source Ahmad Garba Panshekara.

The ADC Vanguard, the coalition’s mobilization wing, condemned the assault, emphasizing that citizens have the right to freedom of association regardless of political disagreements. Their statement read: “We strongly condemn the attack on Musa Mai Sana’a. While people may be angry with the government, every citizen still has the right to freedom of association. #JusticeForMaiSanaa.”

Veteran actor Bello Muhammad Bello warned colleagues against campaigning for the Tinubu administration, describing Musa Mai Sana’a’s actions as reckless. Bello said: “It is a grave mistake for anyone to assume that hunger or the struggle to find food is a justification to behave like an uncultured and ill-mannered animal. Our industry needs protection from selfish individuals who are only driven by personal gain in the name of survival. We stand firmly as the elders and leaders of this field, and we will not sit back and watch the dignity and reputation we have devoted our lives to being destroyed.”

The incident highlights growing tensions within Kannywood over political expressions, as Nigeria gears towards the 2027 general elections.
