Kenyan Model Elsa Majimbo Accuses Naomi Campbell of Mistreatment (Video)

By Damilola A.

Kenyan model and influencer Elsa Majimbo has taken to social media to call out supermodel Naomi Campbell, alleging mistreatment during their interactions.

In a lengthy video shared on her TikTok page, Majimbo narrated her ordeal with Campbell, starting from their initial interaction in 2020. Majimbo expressed her admiration for Campbell, who she considered her role model.

According to Majimbo, after following each other on social media, she reached out to Campbell when she learned the supermodel was in Nairobi. Campbell agreed to meet Majimbo and even invited her on vacation.

During the vacation, Campbell suggested that Majimbo make a documentary about her life in Kenya and her journey into Hollywood. However, problems arose when Majimbo produced a documentary about her experiences with discrimination without informing Campbell.

Campbell felt excluded and expressed outrage over not being consulted about the documentary. Despite Majimbo’s attempts to explain, Campbell became increasingly hostile, leading to a breakdown in communication between them.

Majimbo revealed that the situation took a toll on her mental health and contributed to feelings of ostracism in the industry. She alleged that her conversation with Ghanaian fashion icon Edward Enninful made her realize the impact of her rift with Campbell on her career.

Expressing her reasons for speaking out, Majimbo stated, “Talking about the Naomi Campbell situation is very hard and scary for me. But I don’t want to be owned by someone else, and I want to acknowledge a lot of big hits and blows in my career came from another black woman and not my own incompetence.”

As of press time, Naomi Campbell has not responded to the allegations made by Elsa Majimbo.
