By Yusuf Abubakar

Mark Zuckerberg, the renowned founder of Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has recently undergone surgery following a knee injury sustained during his intense training sessions for an upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.

Zuckerberg, an active and avid athlete, reportedly suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a sparring session.

In a recent Instagram post on Friday, Zuckerberg provided an update on his recovery journey, expressing his gratitude for the medical team attending to him.

He shared, “I am on the road to recovery. I tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me.

“I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that is delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover.

“Thank you to everyone for the love and support.”
