By Adamu Abubakar Isa

ABUJA, Nigeria – Eunice Ameh, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member and lawyer whose disappearance sparked a nationwide outcry, has been found unharmed in the Federal Capital Territory.

Okay News reports that family members confirmed her safety on Sunday afternoon, bringing an end to days of intense uncertainty and concern. While specific details regarding the circumstances of her recovery remain brief, her relatives expressed profound relief that she was found safe and in good health.

Her return follows a high-profile intervention by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). On Saturday, NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, had issued a stern directive to the Inspector General of Police, demanding the immediate deployment of tactical resources to secure her release and emphasizing that the safety of young professionals on national service must be a top priority.

The legal community and various civil society groups, who had mobilized on social media to keep her case in the public eye, have welcomed the news of her rescue. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as they conclude their routine debriefing and investigation into the timeline of her disappearance.
