Hajiya Halima Adamu, the mother of renowned Hausa singer, Dauda Adamu (aka Rarara), has been kidnapped from her residence in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina State.

According to a village source, the abduction occurred around 1 am on Friday when bandits stormed the village on foot, without firing a shot. The bandits specifically targeted Hajiya Adamu, leaving behind other family members.

The source described the abducted woman as “very helpful” and a pillar of the community, noting that her son, Rarara, has been instrumental in bringing development to the village.

Efforts to reach Rarara for comment were unsuccessful, as his phones rang unanswered.

This incident highlights the ongoing insecurity in Katsina State, which has been plagued by high levels of banditry and kidnapping in the North West Region.
