Nollywood actress, Uche Ogodo has revealed a shocking detail about her home stating that her daughter has never before met her ex-husband and her father, Ato Ubby, an ex-Nigerian footballer.

Recall that the actress’ marriage to the footballer crashed months into the union and has since remained a single mother.

Speaking during an interview with Vanguardngr, the actress spoke on her challenges as a single mother, her relationship life, career and others.

She said: “I’m still hoping to find that wonderful human being that would fill the remaining part of my needs. I’m open to anything. Yes, I’m dating, but I haven’t found the one.

“Back in the days, I used to say this is the kind of man I want and all that but you know, we’re women and when a different kind of man comes and lies to you, you just fall head over heels.

“In the past, I always painted pictures, but eventually I fell for the wrong person. So, let God give me the kind of man that he knows is best for me.”

Speaking on her relationship with her baby daddy and ex-husband, the actress stated emphatically that they are not on talking terms. She added: “We’re not talking. He doesn’t keep in touch, but that’s fine.”

Speaking on what fame had robbed her of, Uche Ogodo said: “Fame has also brought me negative attention from guys in the area of relationship. People tend to fall in love with the you on TV and not the real you.

“And when they get to know the real you, they might not like it, but still stick around just because you’re famous. And then you end up hurting each other, because the relationship is fake and based on fantasy.”

Addressing the growing babymama trend she said: “I’m a single mother already. It happened by fate. I never wanted it to happen this way. I wanted to be married. I think it’s an individual thing. I don’t judge people.

“I want to get married. I need a partner in my life, because I don’t think I want to spend the rest of my life alone with my children. Even at this age, my daughter keeps asking me about her father. She has never seen him.

“This isn’t what I want and it hurts me sometimes. But what can I do and I am hoping that I can get a good daddy for my daughter. I pray that someday I will be able to say to my daughter ‘This is your daddy’, because every time she asks I never say anything.”
