Nigerian Afrobeats Star Davido to Headline First United Kingdom Festival in London

Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian Afrobeats musician Adeleke Davido, who is widely known to his global fans as Davido, has announced his first personal music festival titled “Davido & Friends.” The event will happen at the Crystal Palace Bowl, an outdoor entertainment venue located in South London, United Kingdom, on Friday, August 14, 2026.

 

The musician shared the news on his official account on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter, on Monday, March 23, 2026. He stated, “For the first time ever, I present to you… Davido & Friends Festival. It’s going down at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14th.”

 

Okay News reports that this upcoming concert is part of a larger summer event series called “Palace Bowl Presents.” This series will run at the South London venue from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 16, 2026.

 

Davido will be the main performer and will also select the complete list of artists for the full day of performances on August 14. The organisers have not yet revealed the names of the other artists who will join him on stage.

 

This announcement follows his recent music tour across the continent of Africa and Europe in 2025. During that tour, the award winning singer promoted his fifth studio album named 5IVE. Between October and December 2025, he performed in several Nigerian locations, including Akwa Ibom State, Adamawa State, Enugu State, the city of Ibadan, and the city of Lagos. Now, fans in the United Kingdom can look forward to another major performance by the global music star.
