Nigerian Air Force Delivers Major Blow to Boko Haram in Borno with Precision Airstrikes

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a significant operational victory against Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State, following precision airstrikes launched in the early hours of Friday. The strikes targeted fleeing insurgents in Bita, a notorious Boko Haram stronghold in Nigeria’s North-East region.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the coordinated air assault under Operation Hadin Kai “has recorded a major operational success against Boko Haram terrorists.” He explained that the mission destroyed the terrorists’ stronghold and neutralized “scores of insurgents,” marking one of the most decisive setbacks for the group in recent times.

“The highly coordinated operation, executed under the cover of darkness, represents a major leap in ongoing efforts to dismantle the operational capabilities of terrorist elements undermining national security in the North East,” the statement added. Ground forces have now commenced clearance and exploitation operations to consolidate gains achieved from the airstrikes.

The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting citizens, emphasizing, “All necessary measures are being taken to ensure that terrorist elements have no safe haven anywhere within the country.”

This development comes amid intensified military campaigns to degrade Boko Haram’s operational capacity and restore peace to the volatile region.
