Nigerian Air Force Jet Allegedly Drops Bomb During Maulud Celebration in Kaduna Village

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

In an unfortunate turn of events, the Maulud celebration in Tudun Biri, part of Kaduna State, turned catastrophic as an alleged bomb dropped from a Nigerian Air Force jet. Reports suggest a staggering death toll of around 30 individuals during the incident, which occurred on Sunday evening at approximately 9:00 pm.

Details surrounding the tragic occurrence remain sparse, but initial accounts indicate that the bomb struck amidst the villagers’ observance of Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad. Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying moment, with one resident lamenting, “They were celebrating Maulud when the jet dropped the bomb, resulting in the immediate death of more than 30 people.”

Amid growing concern, there’s a palpable fear that the number of casualties might rise. Responding to inquiries, Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner of the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, refrained from providing specific casualty figures. Instead, he mentioned the government’s intention to convene a press conference at the Government House after a scheduled security meeting.

As of the current press time, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Air Force regarding the distressing incident, leaving the public and affected communities in a state of apprehension and seeking answers.
