ABUJA, Nigeria: Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, approved the deployment of four newly appointed federal permanent secretaries on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Okay News reports that the Director of Information and Public Relations, Eno Olotu, issued a statement on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, announcing the assignments.
“The President has approved the deployment of four (4) Federal Permanent Secretaries, who were earlier appointed and sworn in,” the statement said.
Bekearedebo Warrens is assigned to Political and Economic Affairs in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Dr. Kamil Shoretire is posted to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment. Nkiruka Jones-Nebo is deployed to the Career Management Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Sani Aminu is assigned to Special Services in the Cabinet Affairs Office under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The statement noted that the appointments followed a competitive selection process. “The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and innovation to their new roles,” the statement said, adding that “their posting is designed to optimise performance, foster inter-ministerial collaboration, and drive sustainable development across key sectors of the economy.”
Walson-Jack charged the appointees to deliver on their mandates. “She emphasised the importance of professionalism, accountability, and result-oriented leadership in achieving the Federal Government’s developmental goals,” the statement said.
