Northern Governors Meet Over Herdsmen Crises

The 19 governors of northern Nigerian states are currently meeting in Kaduna to discuss the recurrent herdsmen and farmer clashes in the region.

It was gathered that the meeting is being chaired by the Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state who also doubles as the Chairman of the forum.

The meeting is being attended by Kaduna state governor Nasir El Rufai; the governors of Katsina, Bauchi, Kogi and Sokoto states.

Other states were represented by their deputy. Governor Shetimma said the afrum will deliberate on the zones position on restructuring as well as the the villolenxe in the region.
