Oritsejafor’s wife denounces divorce rumours as ‘baseless endeavor’

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

Helen Oritsejafor, the wife of former Christian Association of Nigeria president Ayo Oritsejafor, has denied rumours of a divorce from her husband.

In a post on her Facebook page, Mrs. Oritsejafor called the rumours “fake and malicious” and said that they were being spread by “the devil and his agents” in an attempt to damage her reputation.

Mrs. Oritsejafor emphasized the importance of her family and home in her life, and said that she is a loving wife and mother who upholds the tenets of her Christian faith and marriage. She appealed to everyone to put the interests of her and her children above the desire to profit from the false rumours.

“My family and home is the most important part of my life,” Mrs. Oritsejafor said. “I am a wife, a mother, and a woman of God, and I uphold the tenets of my Christian faith and marriage. These are works of the devil and his agents to dent my character and good works.”

She continued: “I, therefore, appeal to everyone to put our interest and that of our lovely kids, above the need to profit from this baseless endeavor. My Husband and I are not divorced, unless people get divorced on social media and I have never been unfaithful to my husband, whom I love very dearly.”

Mrs. Oritsejafor concluded her statement by saying that she has briefed her lawyers and is taking all necessary legal action against the rumor mongers. She warned that spreading baseless news is not only malicious, but also punishable under the law.
