By Adamu Abubakar Isa

ABUJA, Nigeria — Gombe State PDP Governorship candidate and Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has expressed sympathy to victims and families affected by recent violent attacks in parts of Nigeria, while calling for intensified efforts to secure the release of abducted persons.

Okay News reports that Pantami urged security agencies to strengthen ongoing operations aimed at rescuing those held captive and bringing those responsible for the attacks to justice.

In a statement issued on June 3, the former minister described the incidents as tragic and extended his condolences to those who lost loved ones or suffered as a result of the violence.

Pantami called on relevant authorities to ensure that the perpetrators, as well as anyone found to have supported or facilitated the crimes, are identified, arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

He also offered prayers for the safety of Nigerians and for an end to insecurity across the country, expressing hope for lasting peace and protection for citizens.

The remarks come amid continuing concerns over security challenges in several parts of Nigeria, where authorities have been working to combat attacks, kidnappings and other criminal activities.
