The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has finally been officially confirmed in a coronation ceremony.
He will now be referred to as Emir Muhammad Sanusi II, the 14th Emir of Kano under the Fulani Dynasty. He has been presented with his staff of office by the king makers of the Emirate council signifying the official beginning of his time as the Emir of Kano.
Amongst notable people present there were APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, General Abdulrahman Dambazau, Sultan of Sokoto, Emir of Dutse, Father Mathew Kuka, Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, Governors Kashim Shettima, Babangida Aliyu, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Ibrahim Gaidam.
