Skales is currently in jail for his involvement in a fraud case with his record company, Baseline Records to the tune of N13 million.

The drama started yesterday after news made the rounds that the singer’s manager Osagie Osarenkhoe has been summoned to a Lagos police station, after the record company accused her of stealing over N13 million from the company over a period of 12 months, a claim Osagie denied.

Baseline Records wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police, detailing the terms of agreement signed for Skales in 2014. According to the company, Skales introduced Osagie as his manager and all funds were paid to him through her.

However, the duo reportedly reneged on the agreement by refusing to pay the company the percentage due them from the singer’s bookings (tours, performances), hence why they are taking up the matter with the police.

Earlier on yesterday, Osagie tweeted that she was not detained. However, Daddy Freeze has just confirmed that Skales and Osagie have been detained pending when investigations are concluded.
