Rio Olympics: Blessing Okagbare Out of 200m Finals

Nigeria’s promising athlete, Blessing Okagbare has failed to qualify for the 200m women finals at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Okagbare finished fifth in the heat one of the semifinals, completing the race in 22.69 secs.

She competed with Holland’s Dafne Schippers, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson, Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Germany’s Lisa Mayer who all qualified.

Dina Asher-Smith came fourth with 22.49 secs.
