Russia 2018 World Cup Play-offs fixtures Released

The draw for Russia 2018 World Cup was held at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland on Tuesday.

Four times world champions Italy will take on Sweden in the European play-offs for a place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Italy will travel to Stockholm for the first leg of the play-off.

In other play-offs draw, Switzerland will battle Northern Ireland, Denmark will face Republic of Ireland, while Croatia will face Greece.

The eight teams will fight it out over two legs, with away goals separating them in the event of a tie, or extra-time (with away goals still counting) and penalties if needed.

The first legs will take place from November 9-11 with the return legs on November 12-14.

Among the eight countries that will slug it out in the European play-offs, Italy, Greece, Croatia and Switzerland were at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
