Williams has been chosen to be the cover girl for Vogue magazines April edition in 2015. The beautiful, black and savvy woman is looking smoking hot on the cover as she wears a Rag & Bone sheath dress and Tate diamond bracelets.

Serena Williams, the number one ranked female player in the world,  goes on to talk about fitness, forgiveness, and her friendship with tennis rival Caroline Wozniacki with Rebecca Johnson of Vogue magazine.

On and off the pitch, Serena Williams always pulls of the look of a strong, sexy and black woman. Some may say or assume that the sport makes her look masculine, but she pulls off any look as suites the occasion, whether shes wearing a sports bra and skirt on the court or a dinner dress at a cocktail party.

“Let’s just put an end to this myth that women players cannot be friends,” Williams says. “We can!”

Traditionally, sports women haven’t been known to be like this. Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Maria Sharapova— all champions have never been known for any form of  cuddliness on, or off, the court.

Having her sister Venus with her on tour, and a best friend in Caroline Wozniacki, may have made Serena Williams mellow.

You can see it in her friendship with Wozniacki, her fashion look of recent which is noticeably milder and more feminine, and also in her decision making.

This is why we weren’t surprised when she recently announced her decision to go back to Indian Wells, a tournament she had vowed to boycott permanently after the largely white, largely senior audience booed the then–nineteen-year-old player throughout an entire match.
