Benjamin Sesko came off the bench to score the decisive goal as Manchester United secured a 1-0 Premier League victory over Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Slovenian forward struck in the 71st minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack he had initiated deep inside his own half. After linking play with Matheus Cunha, the move was carried forward and Bryan Mbeumo delivered the final pass, allowing Sesko to apply a composed first-time finish for his eighth goal of the season.
The win continues an impressive run under manager Michael Carrick, with United collecting 16 points from six matches. Sesko’s latest contribution follows his late equaliser at West Ham earlier this month, reinforcing his growing influence in the side.
Chances were limited in a tightly contested encounter. Everton came closest through Harrison Armstrong, while Michael Keane’s powerful late effort was tipped over by United goalkeeper Senne Lammens, who delivered a standout performance.
The result lifts Manchester United clear in fourth place, strengthening their push for Champions League qualification. Everton, meanwhile, remain ninth and have now gone seven home matches without a win in all competitions.
United next host Crystal Palace, while Everton travel to Newcastle United in their upcoming Premier League fixtures.
