Speed Darlington’s Mother Pleads for His Release After Arrest Over Defamatory Video on Burna Boy

By Damilola A.

Queen, the mother of Nigerian comic rapper Speed Darlington, has publicly begged for the release of her son following his arrest, allegedly initiated by Burna Boy.

In an emotional video shared online, Queen explained that her son’s security team informed their family members that Speed Darlington had been arrested due to a video he made that defamed Burna Boy.

According to her, Burna Boy and his team allegedly went to Speed Darlington’s house and took him into custody.

Queen, visibly distressed, went down on her knees and pleaded for mercy from the Afrobeats superstar.

“Darlington is my only son. I am begging you, Burna Boy, please tamper justice with mercy. Have mercy on my son. Forgive him, please,” she tearfully implored.

She also called on Nigerians and fans of Speed Darlington to join her in appealing to Burna Boy for his son’s release.

The arrest follows Speed Darlington’s recent allegations in a video where he insinuated that Burna Boy’s international fame was due to his association with American music mogul Diddy.
