By Adamu Abubakar Isa

ABUJA, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, following the passing of her beloved mother, Hajiya Fatima Musa Musawa.

The matriarch of the prominent Musawa family passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Okay News reports that the condolence message was made public on Monday through an official statehouse press release signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Chief Bayo Onanuga. The loss comes just a few years after the family buried its patriarch, the revered statesman and veteran diplomat, Ambassador Musa Musawa.

In his personal message of comfort, President Tinubu urged the Minister to find equanimity in this difficult moment, reflecting on his own personal experience with the profound grief of losing a mother. He described the late Hajiya Fatima as a loving mother and a monumental pillar of strength who anchored the home front with dedication and grace.

The President prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and asked the Almighty Allah to grant Hajiya Fatima eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also invoked divine comfort and fortitude for Barrister Hannatu Musawa, her siblings, and the entire extended family as they navigate the painful vacuum left by her irreparable passing.
