VeryDarkMan Freed After 9 Days in Police Custody

Martins Vincent Otse, widely known by his online alias VeryDarkMan, a prominent social media influencer, has been released from detention by the Nigerian Police after spending nine days in custody.

Okay.ng reports that the popular activist regained his freedom in the late hours of today, Easter Sunday, marking the end of his ordeal in police custody.

VeryDarkMan’s detention sparked widespread concern and outcry among his followers and fellow activists, raising questions about freedom of speech and online expression in Nigeria.

The activist was arrested by the police following claims that they had received multiple petitions against his online activities. However, the specific details surrounding the allegations against him remain undisclosed.
