Will Smith Breaks Silence on Jada Pinkett’s Revelations About Their Marriage

By Damilola A.

Will Smith, the renowned US actor, has finally responded to the revelations made by his estranged wife, Jada Pinkett, regarding their marriage.

Last week, Jada Pinkett disclosed that she and Will have been living separately since 2016, shedding light on their turbulent relationship ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir, titled ‘Worthy,’ which is set to be published on October 17.

The actress candidly shared that seven years ago, she and Will decided to “live completely separate lives” after becoming “too exhausted with trying” to maintain their marriage.

Despite the separation, Jada revealed that she couldn’t bring herself to divorce Will due to his sense of humor.

In response to the revelations made in Jada’s upcoming memoir, Will Smith communicated via email with the New York Times.

In his message, the 55-year-old actor admitted that Jada’s revelations “woke him up” to a new understanding of their relationship.

Will stated that he came to realize that Jada had “lived a life more on the edge” than he had previously recognized and that she was “more resilient, clever, and compassionate” than he had initially understood.

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in. You can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties,” Smith wrote.
