Borno state governor, Ibrahim Shettima has applauded the release of the 21 Chibok girls from Boko Haram captivity.

The governor said the release of 21 Chibok girls has strengthened President Muhammadu Buhari’s determination to recover others who are still in captivity.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Airforce has flown the freed 21 Chibok girls to Abuja from Maiduguri.

President Buhari shortly before taking off to Germany for his official visit welcome the release of the girls but cautioned Nigerians to be mindful of the fact that more than 30,000 fellow citizens were killed via terrorism.
