The former Sweden star ended his goal drought in the Premier League to ensure the English top flight reached its milestone on Sunday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored the 25,000th goal in Premier League history.

The English top flight began Sunday just eight goals away from the milestone, but strikes in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham as well as Southampton’s game against Hull and Liverpool vs Watford saw the division edge closer to the figure.

However, after Paul Pogba put Manchester United 1-0 up against Swansea City on Sunday, Ibrahimovic was able to grab the commemorative goal for his side.

After Wayne Rooney collected the ball, he charged down the left flank and cut inside to find the former Sweden star, who beat a defender before smashing it into the net.

The goal is Ibra’s fifth in 12 Premier League appearances, but is the first he has scored in the competition since his strike against Manchester City in August.
