Some Nigerians in the troubled North-East have fled to Chad to escape Boko Haram attacks.

The terrorists have operated in border communities with Chad and Cameroon and have forced many to flee their homes.

A recent attack on Baga in Borno State saw many innocents being drowned as they attempted to escape via Lake Chad.

Thousands of Nigerian refugees are also living in the neighbouring country, which has deployed 2,500 soldiers to help in the fight against the sect.
