Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about her privileged background, reflecting on how she once took her financial security for granted without realizing the extent of her family’s wealth.

The billionaire heiress and disc jockey shared her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, admitting that growing up in a life of luxury felt normal to her at the time. However, she now sees things from a different perspective and recognizes the privilege that shaped her journey.

“Growing up, I didn’t fully realise just how privileged I was. I never had to worry about anything tbh. Thank God I see it now. What felt normal to me is something someone else is praying for. Gratitude changes everything,” she wrote.

Her revelation sparked online conversations about self-awareness and privilege, with many commending her for acknowledging her background while striving to build her own name in the entertainment industry.

Despite being the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, DJ Cuppy has successfully carved a niche for herself in music and philanthropy, consistently pushing boundaries as a DJ, producer, and entrepreneur.
