Woman Delivers Baby at Polling Unit In Sokoto

Malama Aishatu Abubakar of Anjannaje ward in Tambuwal local government area of Sokoto state delivered a baby girl shortly after casting her vote, NAN reports.

Abubakar, who was already in labour before she cast her vote, insisted on exercising her civic right to elect leaders of her choice.

Sources quoted Abubakar as saying that it has been her desire to discharge her civil responsibility and expressed the need to endure the pain of labour.

She called on leaders to have the fair of God while performing their primary duties. She also called for an improved healthcare delivery in public health institutions across the country, saying that provision of modern healthcare service would go a long way in boosting service delivery.
