I Can Achieve My Dreams With Arsenal – Ozil

Mesut-OZil

Mesut Ozil has distanced himself from reports linking him with leaving Arsenal in the summer, insisting he can realise his dreams of winning major titles at the Emirates Stadium.

The Germany international has provided a league-high 18 Premier League assists so far this term, but it looks as though it could be in vain after seeing his side lose ground to Leicester and Tottenham in the title race.

And with Arsenal having also slipped out of the Champions League at the early stages for another season, speculation has loomed large regarding a potential return to Spain for Ozil, who played for Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.

However, the playmaker says he is “very happy” in north London and is confident he can achieve his aims with the Gunners, outlining how the club spending big at the end of the season can make a huge difference.

“I still have two more years after this season, as I have said in the past, I feel really good,” Ozil told BT Sport.

“My team mates are great, the city is great, but as said, you can never tell what will happen in football.

“But I have two more years after this season, and yes, as I said before, I am very happy here.

“I always want to play for the biggest teams in the world, and in the competitions like the Champions League and it is my goal to win many titles, and I know that I can win titles with this team but to achieve that we need a big squad, if players get injured, it’s just like that.

“That is why I said a lot of things have to be right, it is my aim to help the team and it is our goal to win titles and I think you can achieve that with Arsenal.

“You can realise your dreams here, and if we get in a few more good players, I think that will happen.”
