AC Milan banned from European football for one season

By Promise Amadi

AC Milan has been banned from European football next season over breaches of financial fair play rules.

Okay.ng understands that the Italian professional football club was accused by UEFA of violating financial fair play regulations over the past three seasons.

However, a Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in favour of the European football’s governing body on Friday.

“AC Milan is excluded from participating in UEFA club competitions of the sporting season 2019/2020 as a consequence of the breach of its FFP break-even obligations” for the past three seasons, the court ruled.
