Adelabu says only united APC can defeat PDP in Oyo

By Ogungbayi Feyisola Faesol

Minister of Power and 2027 Oyo State governorship aspirant, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) can only defeat the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) if united.

He stated this during a consultation visit to party leaders, stakeholders, and members in the Ibarapa region of the state. Adelabu urged members to put aside internal divisions and work collectively to return Oyo to the progressive fold in 2027.

According to him, “No party can compete with APC in this state. We are progressive, and our party must remain one and united.”

Ibarapa, which comprises Eruwa, Lanlate, Igboora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa, and Igangan, was among the key areas visited during his tour. Adelabu assured residents that his ministry has secured funding for the completion of three power substations in the region to improve electricity supply.

“Electricity in Ibarapa region is a major concern to me. Work will start on the substations within one week,” he said. “I have also provided solar-powered street lights and will address the issue of bad roads if elected as governor.”

Adelabu appealed to residents to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, noting that the president “loves the nation and doesn’t want any pain for Nigerians.”

Several APC members in attendance expressed support for Adelabu’s gubernatorial ambition, affirming confidence that the party will reclaim power in Oyo State by 2027.
