Arsenal’s Bid to Sign Lacazette Suffers Setback As Lyon Rejects Offer

By Farouk Mohammed

Arsenal’s bid to land Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon has suffered another setback as the French club have rejected an offer for the 26-year-old France forward.

The media in the United Kingdom, however, report that negotiations are still ongoing.

Another report also say the Gunners are less likely to sign Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar, 21, having also had a bid turned down.

In the meantime, reports say the North Londoners have yet to receive any bids for Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez.

The 28-year-old has only a year left on his contract and may be allowed to leave for the right price.
