Barcelona Could Turn To Chelsea’s Willian

By Gbolahan Adeyemi

Barcelona could turn their attention towards Chelsea’s Willian should they fail to land his compatriot Philippe Coutinho, say reports.

The 29-year-old started only 15 Premier League games for the English champions last season despite signing a four-year deal in 2016 and is said to be open to a move elsewhere.

Manchester United reportedly enquired for his availability earlier this summer but were flatly rejected by the London club, however a bid from abroad may provoke a different response, according to The Times.

The Brazilian international moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013 following stints at Shakhtar Donestk and Anzhi Makhachkala, winning two Premier League titles with the club.

Barca have been linked with a number of attacking talents including Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Angel Di Maria as they seek to reinvest the money they received from Neymar’s sale.
