President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the Super Falcons for winning the 2019 WAFU Women’s Cup Champions.
Okay Nigeria understands that the team finished the tournament with an unbeaten record.
Buhari in a statement made available to Okay Nigeria on Sunday evening through his spokesman, Garba Shehu, commended the falcons “for their fighting spirit and resplendent skills evidenced in team work, discipline and focus, which enabled them to defeat the Ivorian Dame Elephantes at the finals of the championship.”
The president also didn’t forget the team officials and management as he praised them “for their sacrifice, commitment and diligence in winning the championship.”
Furthermore, Buhari urged the Falcons to remain focused towards the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
