CAF Beach AFCON: Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles Defeated By Senegal In Final

Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles were defeated 6-1 by Senegal in Friday’s CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Terenga Lions successfully defended their crown of the last edition hosted in Lagos which they won 8-4.

A shot by Abu Azeez put the Sand Eagles in an early lead in the third minute but a brace from Lansana Diassy and Amadou Ba coupled with strikes from Mbaye Diagne and Babacar Fall secured a second straight title for Senegal.

Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles and Senegal’s Terenga Lions have qualified for the second edition of FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2019 in Paraguay

In a playoff match, Egypt defeat Morocco 3-2 and finished third while the defeated finished 4th.

Madagascar and Tanzania won in the playoffs to secure fifth and seventh place.
