French forward, Antoine Griezmann, has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo is in pole position to claim the next Ballon d’Or award.
He spoke after France were beaten by Portugal to win the Euro 2016 championship.
“For the Ballon D’Or, it is all over,” He said according to Goal. “Ronaldo won the two big competitions this season.”
Greizmann had been tipped to beat Ronaldo and Messi to the award by many after he played a major role in Atletico’s Champions League campaign and France’s quest for Euro 2016.
