English official Mark Clattenburg will referee the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, UEFA announced on Tuesday.

Clattenburg has handled six Champions League matches this season, including two involving Atletico Madrid and one for Real Madrid.

He took charge of Real’s 1-0 win over PSG in November as well as Atletico’s round-of-16 second leg win over PSV on penalties and the first leg of their semifinal win over Bayern.

The 41-year-old Englishman will complete a cup final double after handling the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Crystal Palace at Wembley on May 21.

The final between the Spanish rivals is May 28 at the San Siro in Milan.

Clattenburg, who notably missed the incident last week that led to a six-game ban for Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele, has also been picked by UEFA to referee at the European Championship in France.

UEFA also picked Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson to handle the Europa League final between Liverpool and Sevilla on May 18 in Basel, Switzerland.
