Radamel Falcao has undergone a medical at parent club AS Monaco.
The Colombian striker endured a difficult two-year loan spell in the Premier League and now looks set to return to the Stade Louis II.
Falcao, 30, joined Manchester United on a season-long loan in the summer of 2014 but failed miserably at Old Trafford, scoring just four goals in 26 appearances in all competitions under Louis van Gaal.
The former FC Porto and Atletico Madrid star then made the temporary move to Stamford Bridge last summer but made even less of an impact in West London, finding the back of the net on one occasion in 10 Premier League outings.
Falcao is under contract wth Monaco until 2018 and it is believed that he will be given every chance under Leonardo Jardim to rediscover his best form in France’s Ligue 1.
