Former Falcons Midfielder, Ajuma Ameh-Otache, Dies at Age 33

A former Super Falcons midfielder, Ajum Ameh-Otache, has died at the age of 33.

The news of her death was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on their official Twitter page.

She died on Saturday, November 10.

The tweets read;

“We are sad to hear of the sudden passing of former @NGSuper_Falcons midfielder, AWCON winner, Olympian, Ajuma Otache who passed on Saturday.

“Our thoughts are with her young family. May her soul rest in peace.”

However, the cause of her death was not disclosed.

Ameh-Otache played for Nigeria at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and also won the African Women’s Cup of Nations that same year.

Ameh-Otache also played for the Super Falcons at the 2003 All Africa Games in Abuja.
