Former Super Falcons player, Ifeanyichukwu Stephanie Chiejine, has passed away at the age of 36.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced this in a short statement on its Twitter handle on Thursday.
Ifeanyi died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
She captained the first set of the U19 National Women’s team to the first U19 (Now U20) FIFAWWC in 2002.
