FUTA Debunks “Fake Professor” Claims, Calls List “Pure Fiction”

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has denied the existence of fake professors within its academic staff, dismissing recent reports circulating as baseless.

The university management categorically stated that the names of alleged fake professors being circulated are fictitious and hold no merit.

Charles Adeleye, the Registrar of FUTA, issued a statement addressing the unfounded claims and appealed to the public to disregard the purported list in circulation.

“It would have completely ignored the patently false information, but for the spurious claim that some names on the concocted list were identified as belonging to the university,” remarked Adeleye.

He further clarified, “The names paraded under FUTA are pure fiction, and no such names exist in the staff list of the university. Names of all bonafide members of staff and those in the professorial cadre are listed in the university calendar.”
