I’m Not Ready To Coach Real Madrid – Zinedine Zidane

Former France captain, legendary forward, current coach of Real Madrid Castilla and headbutting genius Zinedine Zidane says he was not interested in taking over at Real Madrid, following Ancelotti’s exit.

Ancelotti was sacked after winning only Super Cup and Club World Cup while rivals, Barcelona stamped dominance on the league and Europe by claiming a treble.

Benitez has since filled the role, although Zidane was considered for the job. Being Madrid chief is a refreshing thought for the Frenchman, but he does not feel he’s ready yet, might just headbutt Enrique.

He told RTL : “Zidane, Real Madrid coach. It sounds nice.

“Taking over from Ancelotti, that was never a question. I wanted to continue with the Castilla because I am not quite ready.

“A coach is never truly ready. If we wait until all the lights are green, we will never get there.

“But I am calm, I will do things my own way, and it will take the time it takes.”
