During a pre-Grammy Awards interview on the red carpet, the “Whatcha Say” performer revealed that he would soon be releasing “Swalla,” a new track featuring himself, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign .

“It’s one that kind of made sense,” the Florida-based crooner said of Nicki and Ty during the interview. “I never believe in forcing a collaboration. You know I’m a fan of both of theirs, and I thought it fit the track perfectly.”

Derulo went on to say that he felt the new track will get people on their feet and dancing, and that he, Nicki and Ty have already shot an island-based video for the forthcoming single. “Swalla” is set to be released on Feb. 24. You can check out the rest of Derulo’s interview below.

We’ll have to wait 10 more days to hear what should be a dope collaboration between these three artists, but Nicki Minaj has already served up a new jam of her own. Just the other day she appeared alongside Nick Jonas on “Bom Bidi Bom,” a sultry new jam from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. On the song, The Pinkprint artist gets about as raunchy as can be.

“He put it on me better than any other guy/He said he need a bad bitch with an alibi,” Nicki raps in one part of her verse. She continues, “The D so good, he just got an and-one/I’m about to blow and I ain’t talking Samsung.”
