Man Utd Has Agreed to Sign €85.8million Worth Atletico Madrid Star

By Gbolahan Adeyemi

Manchester United have been chasing French international and Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann for quite some time and if the latest reports are anything to go by then it looks highly likely that the Red Devils will get their man.

Two days back, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that the former Real Sociedad star is looking to earn around £300,000-a-week if he joins the Old Trafford club.

Now, The Sun have exclusively revealed that the Les Bleus playmaker has accepted terms of the contract to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The British source have claimed that Antoine has agreed personal terms that will make him earn £280,000-a-week, £72.8million (€85.8million) in the next five years. Moreover, the Red Devils are prepared to activate the £89million release clause in his contract to sign him from the Spanish side.

Next season, Manchester United are expected to be without superstar striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been the main goalscorer for the club in the current campaign. He will be out of contract in summer and is currently out injured with a long term knee concern as well.

In such a scenario, Mourinho needs to sign top forwards and Griezmann will be a world class signing.

Last season, he directly contributed in 28 goals in 38 La Liga games. This season, so far, in 33 league appearances, he has directly contributed in 23 goals.
